Attractions in the State of Acre
The Serra do Divisor National Park has a surface area of about 846,633 hectares and is located in the state of Acre in the circles of Cruzeiro do Sul, Mâncio Lima, Rodrigues Alves, Porto Walter and Marechal
Thaumaturgo.Hier one has yet discovered the largest and most important number of fossils of Brazil, on an area of unusually profound "Terra Roxa" (red soil) and "Terra Branca" (white earth).
Inside the park on the right side of the Moa River lives of the indigenous people Nukini. On the banks of the river Juruá fund many fossils were recorded. Most of the area is covered by tropical jungle of vines and palms. The liana forest stands out because of the relatively large distance between the trees. Here growing tree species such as the "JUA", "castanha de periquito", "taperebá", "inharé" and many others. The palm forest consists of large groups of palm trees, which occur only in part of the area. These are inter alia the "paxiúba-lisa", "Pataua", "açaí", "jaci", "Murumuru", "paxiúba-Barriguda", "Inajá" and "jarima". The Serra do Divisor National Park has no tourist infrastructure. Visits must therefore be pre-approved by IBAMA, the Brazilian Institute for the Environment.
